I'm leaving for Austin tomorrow. I'll be there attending work related training till late Thursday evening. It looks like I'm not going to be able to cram my bike in my work vehicle so I'm going to miss out on some interesting rides.
While I'm away be sure not to run into any boulders.
Oscuro describes what happened
here. It's the next post after the photos.
So, I guess this bike (pictured) is not your bike. That's a really nice Arkel Trunk bag. I have the same bag, in red also.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your stay in Austin. I haven't been there, yet.
Peace :)
Ouch, I guess I know what it takes to kill a LHT. Uffdah.
ReplyDeleteHeh, I still have a dent in my top tube, but I'd never notice. Gotta love the LHT.
I've heard of bikes with a little toe overlap, but crank overlap! Now that's tight clearances.LOL! I hope the rider was OK.
ReplyDeleteWell whatever you do...don't check craigs list for Austin =P
ReplyDeleteLook honey, what followed me home! Can I keep it?
Chandra-No, that's not my bike. Thank goodness. I'd be crying.
ReplyDeleteI've looked at those trunk bags before. They're pretty nice.
Ben-He definitely killed that frame. When I first saw the photo I thought he had been hit by a car.
Frankenbiker-The rider walked away from that crash. The second photo this guy posted showed what looked like blood on the top tube. I'll bet he's much slower on the downhills from now on.
twister-Since I bought this bike the other day I've been avoiding Craigslist for that very reason.
