The Women's Brooks B67s saddle, bell, and cork grips arrived yesterday. After a few coats of shellac on the grips the bike was ready to go. Next payday should see the addition of a basket and maybe a set of fenders.
My wife suffers from neck and shoulder pain and needs to sit upright when she rides so I was glad to find this generic but attractive riser stem at a local shop. I coupled it with North Road style bars from Wald. The stem and bars combined cost me less than $25.
The last picture is Art.
ReplyDeleteOldfool-Thanks, the late afternoon sun always makes for nice photos.
ReplyDeleteI think you did well not to repaint. It all looks very sweet.
ReplyDeleteSteve A-There is still some strange yellow staining of the paint around the dropouts and bottom bracket shell that I haven't been able to eliminate but I agree, it looks nice.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Another beautiful, re-purposed bike.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking forward to seeing the mixte out and about. It looks fantastic, and I agree about the last photo...brilliant.
ReplyDeleteYou make (or re-make) very nice bikes. Lookin good.
ReplyDeleteBig Oak, Pondero, Rantwick-Thanks guys. I'm glad y'all approve.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I like it a lot.

ReplyDeleteIt looks great. The yellow stains could be grease residue. I'm a big fan of not painting a rebuild if at all possible.
ReplyDeleteWow, it truly does look fantastic. I'm very impressed. The saddle and the shellaced bars really make it. Great work!
