A good sized group showed up at Trinity Bicycles this morning for Bike Friendly Fort Worth's Bikes and Baguettes ride. Todays destination was H.E.B. Central Market (think Whole Foods). I've got lots of pictures from the ride so I'll keep this short. We all had a great time.
I was riding to the shop this morning when out of nowhere, Shriners!!!
Does anybody else remember this old Dead Kennedys album cover?
The Fairmount Neighborhood had a small parade this morning celebrating the Fairmount Tour of Homes.
Everyone milled around visiting and checking out Trinity Bicycles before the ride. They are now officially open for business.
Awesome painting by Fort Worth artist Carola Locke. The guy in the painting is Carola's husband Micah. This morning I learned that Micah's blog is Bicycling in a world Built for Cars, which I mentioned in my last post.
I gave this ride careful consideration, but the chores of the day left me with only about 2 hours for the bike.
ReplyDeleteI looks like a good, successful group outing on a mighty pleasant day.
Those are very lifelike statues holding up the Trinity sign in the last photo!
ReplyDeleteWell rounded group of bike riders. Too many, I would have be terrified.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun ride. I wish I could have made it to Central Market, but I promised to take Mrs. Doohickie to the Fairmount home tour. Thankfully, by the time we got there the Shriners had dispersed.
ReplyDeleteAfter you pay for your bike it's probably about the cheapest and best fun a person can have and not to mention, good for you. Thanks Miles for the pictures.
