As I was riding along the trail yesterday, I saw a young man on blue vintage road bike riding towards me. As he passed I recognized the bike as my old Trek 420. I yelled out to the guy (Danny) and we had a nice talk on the side of the trail. A few months ago I sold the bike to Trinity Bicycles and it found it's way into Danny's hands. He's a nice guy, deserving of a sturdily built American made bike. This is the first time that I've ever come across one of my previously owned bikes. It's nice to know that it's well cared for.
This is the first tree I've noticed that is starting to display fall colors. Note-This is not my submission to the First Annual RANTWICK Autumn Tree Smackdown (FARATS for short). By the way, here is what the FARATS winner will receive.
Hey Miles, I think the Trek was pretty broken up after seeing its former owner. Had a flat a couple miles after stopping to talk! Seriously though, nice talking to you and I'm loving the bike. -Danny
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you remembered the name of my blog. It was great meeting you. I'll probably run into you again at the next Critical Mass.
