Posters by Meli

I love screen printed posters, especially if the subject matter has something to do with bikes. Meligrosa over at Bikes and the City, is now selling her 2009 and 2010 ArtCrank posters on Pedalr. The poster in the photos is the 2009 version which will soon be framed and hanging on our wall. Meli designed the poster and had it screen printed by Pedal Printing.

If you're a regular visitor to her blog you'll recognize the bike in the poster as Frenchie, Meli's nice vintage mixte.

A very nice three color print by Pedal Printing.

Random Stuff 05-15-09

I can't believe that I actually got to ride today! I decided to keep it relatively short so that I could spend some time with the family.

This is a nice little creek that is home to numerous ducks and other waterbirds. The water is fresh and clear thanks to the recent rains.

Lancaster Bridge.

Now on to the random stuff:

Jon Grinder: Jon is selling some cool enamelled pins that one of his buddies designed. They're $6 each. Drop by Jon's blog for more info.

Caffeinated Wheelman Association

Rocket Fuel-Vintage Cycling Style: Not too long ago I wrote about the Tweed Ride in Eugene, Oregon.  Susan from Rocket Fuel emailed me about the Tweed Ride scheduled for June 7th in Sydney, Australia. It's amazing how popular these rides are becoming.

Susan makes some great looking cycling caps.

Archival Clothing: This blog has quickly become one of my favorite stops. The two most recent posts are about musette bags. I'm sure this will appeal to some of the folks who stop by here on a regular basis.

Change Your Life, Ride a Bike: Everybody else in the cycling/ blogging community probably already knew about this new blog, but not me. Meligrosa of Bikes and the City Fame and Adrienne Johnson have teamed up to create a blog "for people to share how riding a bike has changed how they see themselves and the world." Take a look.

This photo of Meligrosa was taken by San Francisco photographer Dustin Jensen. Check out his blog for more photos.

The Everyday Cyclist: Here's another cool U.K. blog that I've been following. It's news, reviews, and insights into Lycra free cycling.

Random Stuff 10-12-08

As you can see from the photo the last couple of days have been no fun. I had a nerve block, a shot in my neck, which left my arm completely numb for about ten hours after my surgery. It was disconcerting to move and see my arm flopping around uncontrollably. Thankfully I've regained sensation. I'm stuck in the house and I'm getting bored. At least now I've got the time to share a few more blogs belonging to people I've had the pleasure of meeting online over the last few weeks. Please take some time to visit, say hello, make new friends.

Sketch Customs Clothing from Fort Worth. They've got some good original designs that they're selling from their new store. These guys print their own stuff. I've got to support my fellow Fort Worth screen printers.

I've enjoyed browsing through Meligrosa's blog Bikes and the City. It's amazing how much is going on daily in San Francisco, looks like she's right in the middle of it. Lots of "slow bike" photos and coffee houses. Good stuff.

Then there's recent law school grad and new Austin transplant MTB*Law*Girl. She and her fiance are living somewhere near the Zilker Park greenbelt, one of my favorite places in Austin. Man, I miss Austin.

I've got a few more to add but my meds are making me sleepy.
