Random Stuff 10-12-08

As you can see from the photo the last couple of days have been no fun. I had a nerve block, a shot in my neck, which left my arm completely numb for about ten hours after my surgery. It was disconcerting to move and see my arm flopping around uncontrollably. Thankfully I've regained sensation. I'm stuck in the house and I'm getting bored. At least now I've got the time to share a few more blogs belonging to people I've had the pleasure of meeting online over the last few weeks. Please take some time to visit, say hello, make new friends.

Sketch Customs Clothing from Fort Worth. They've got some good original designs that they're selling from their new store. These guys print their own stuff. I've got to support my fellow Fort Worth screen printers.

I've enjoyed browsing through Meligrosa's blog Bikes and the City. It's amazing how much is going on daily in San Francisco, looks like she's right in the middle of it. Lots of "slow bike" photos and coffee houses. Good stuff.

Then there's recent law school grad and new Austin transplant MTB*Law*Girl. She and her fiance are living somewhere near the Zilker Park greenbelt, one of my favorite places in Austin. Man, I miss Austin.

I've got a few more to add but my meds are making me sleepy.

  1. Heal quickly and remember...good circulation speeds healing (I think) and cycling aids circulation. Of course falling off a bike does not help the healing effort. Best wishes...

  2. Oooh I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and the nerve block was so weird. I hated it but I guess it might be preferable to pain. Hope you have a speedy recovery and that you're on the bike soon!
