I hadn't planned to take off work this week but I'm pretty well burnt out. So, I'm on vacation and true to the definition of a "stay-cation", I'm staying home with no plans to do anything other than lay around, watch the Tour, and take the occasional ride. I kicked off the week of fun and relaxation by joining in the second ever Bikes and Baguettes ride going from Trinity Bicycles to H.E.B. Central Market in Fort Worth. Here's a few photos from the fun, yet sweat drenched event (it was 102 degrees today).

Good!
ReplyDeleteI love my gravel roads and rural solitude, but it sure would be nice to mix in some of the socializing you guys have.
ReplyDeleteI kinda feel the same as Pondero about my desert solitude. I read about all this bicycle socializing and it looks fun. But, I take it, there would be other people involved?
ReplyDeleteOldfool-For some reason I thought that you'd approve of my vacation plans.
ReplyDeletePondero and J.R.A.-It's nice to ride with a group from time to time. These social rides draw an eclectic bunch. I think the heat discourages most of the older folks. Chris, I'll let you know about the next interesting ride that comes around.
Some of our more anti-social riders ride drag or way out in front! If you plan to ride a home-made bike, please remember to bring brakes! Go Night Riders!
