Stay-cation!

I hadn't planned to take off work this week but I'm pretty well burnt out. So, I'm on vacation and true to the definition of a "stay-cation", I'm staying home with no plans to do anything other than lay around, watch the Tour, and take the occasional ride. I kicked off the week of fun and relaxation by joining in the second ever Bikes and Baguettes ride going from Trinity Bicycles to H.E.B. Central Market in Fort Worth. Here's a few photos from the fun, yet sweat drenched event (it was 102 degrees today).

  1. I love my gravel roads and rural solitude, but it sure would be nice to mix in some of the socializing you guys have.

  2. I kinda feel the same as Pondero about my desert solitude. I read about all this bicycle socializing and it looks fun. But, I take it, there would be other people involved?

  3. Oldfool-For some reason I thought that you'd approve of my vacation plans.

Pondero and J.R.A.-It's nice to ride with a group from time to time. These social rides draw an eclectic bunch. I think the heat discourages most of the older folks. Chris, I'll let you know about the next interesting ride that comes around.

  4. Some of our more anti-social riders ride drag or way out in front! If you plan to ride a home-made bike, please remember to bring brakes! Go Night Riders!
