Denim Ride and the Great Southwest Bike Swap

I can't believe that I almost forgot to mention Bike Denton's Denim Ride! If you're anywhere in north Texas, break out your jeans and make your way out to Denton this Saturday, January 23rd for a leisurely ride around town. The ride starts at 1:30 PM which thankfully means that I can sleep late. Denton is an interesting little town and it sounds like there is going to be a great turnout. I need to look into the parking situation for us out-of-towners. I'll let you know what I find out.

While I'm thinking about it, Sunday February 7th is the 3rd Annual Great Southwest Bike Swap. Having been to the first two swap meets I can tell you that it's worth the trip.

  1. I'm not going to claim that it's the best solution, but there is a parking lot off the SE corner of the square, east of the Wells Fargo bldg. It is only a few blocks from the ride start. Some of the parking lot is marked for bank customers only, but farther from the bank might work well on a weekend.
